Fresh Zlements Iron is an essential aquarium fertilizer specifically designed to supply bioavailable iron to your planted tank, ensuring robust and vibrant plant growth. Iron is crucial for chlorophyll production, and deficiencies can lead to chlorosis—yellowing of young leaves—due to iron’s immobility in plants. This product is formulated to prevent these symptoms by providing the right form of iron for optimal absorption.

Fresh Zlements Iron contains iron in its ferrous (Fe²⁺) form, which is soluble in water at any pH. This makes it immediately available to plants, unlike ferric iron (Fe³⁺), which precipitates in water with a pH above 5.5, becoming unavailable to plants. Our ferrous iron solution eliminates the need for plants to expend energy converting ferric iron to the usable form. Many competing products rely on iron-EDTA, a chelated form of ferric iron. While EDTA keeps iron soluble, it creates challenges for plant uptake, including strong bonding that limits availability and requiring plants to expend energy to extract and convert the iron. In contrast, Fresh Zlements Iron uses a more accessible form of iron, ensuring quicker and easier absorption without the drawbacks of EDTA chelates.

Dosage:
Standard dosage: 1 mL per 10 liters (2.6 US gallons) raises the iron (Fe) concentration by 1 ppm.
